On 30 October, 20 food packs were distributed to Indonesian migrants at Pangsapuri Putra Raya. It is truly sad that they are still unemployed. The contact came through a small self-funded group of friends who were giving food aid during MCO. Thank you Lai Fun for reaching out to us.
Meanwhile, on 6 November, we distributed 28 food packs to Indonesian migrant families in Kampung Paya Jaras, Sg. Buloh. There is a huge group of unemployed people who are desperate for help. Fatimah who works in a grocery store in the area compiled a list of those in need of food as they usually go to the shop to ask for food.
On the same day, we also distributed 100 food packs to families in Kampung Orang Asli, Pulau Indah. Sadly, they don’t really get help from the authorities. We worked together with another NGO, Volunteer Team managed by @Danny Liew. They delivered house to house and the recipients were very happy to see the nice bag with lots of groceries. Danny also brought toy airplanes for the children who thoroughly enjoyed playing with them.
Thank you, Danny and team, for helping distribute the food packs. Thank you to the Brickfields Asia College (BAC) team especially Moo and Raj for handling the packing of the food packs and sending them. Thank you Jaya Grocer for sponsoring the food packs.
